Large Model Association display at Tibenham May 2017

As usual the weather on the Sunday was excellent. It was warm with a moderate breeze parallel with the runway. For me the star of the show was the Vickers-Armstrong VC10 airliner with four turbines. It looked wonderful in the air. It was like being at Farnborough as the commentator pointed out. I learned later from wikipedia that the VC10 was the fastest subsonic jet airliner. It did the Atlantic crossing in five hours and one minute, a time that was only beaten by Concorde. Many thanks to the LMA for another great day.
