All about model aircraft flying

Did you fly model aircraft as a kid? Do you still fly them as an adult kid? Have you often fancied taking it up and never got round to it? Have you once flown but not recently?

As a hobby, model flying has everything. New manual skills. Pride at your achievements. Fresh air. Beautiful countryside. Great company. Sites to visit and fly at all over the country and the world. You can fly anything from ethereal indoor models weighing a gram or two to giant scale models. You can fly on flat fields or soar over hills and cliffs. You can build your own models or you can buy them ready made and just enjoy the flying.

Join a club and there will be people to help get you started and give you good advice. To find the clubs nearest to you go on to the British Model Flying Association's site at https://bmfa.org and look under Clubs/Find a club.

If you love gliders you must take a look at Radio Control Soaring Digest. It is a free on-line magazine at https://medium.com/rc-soaring-digest

And for some tasters how about these? If you are tempted but not sure click a picture and see what there is.
