Enjoy what you eat

Eating should be profoundly pleasureable. The grim diets found in 'health' or 'diet' books or websites, that comprise boiled chicken or fish eaten with microwaved vegetables, or minuscule portions of flavourless pap in a tray, are bound to turn anyone off. Eat for pleasure as well as weight loss. Don't worry if you over-eat sometimes. It's the average that matters.

Don't always eat food that is low in cholesterols, oils and fats. These are essential to the healthy body. Cholesterol is used all over the body, including for the manufacture of vitamin D and sex hormones. The sandwich board man who used to walk up and down London's West End carrying a sign saying 'meat is passion' was dead right! He was against it of course.
